Privacy Notice


Information for Applicants according to Art. 13, 14 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

This document is designed to inform applicants in accordance with Art. 13, 14 GDPR and describes which personal data we collect with regard to applicants, how we use and disclose such data and what rights applicants have with respect to their personal data.

  1. Name and contact details of the controller

Responsible for the processing of your personal data is the following WW entity:

  1. Purpose of data collection, data processing or data use

We process certain personal data relating to applicants which individuals applying for a position provide to us in the context of their application. We either collect such data from the documents (CV, resumes, etc.) you send us or via our online application tools if you choose to apply online. Such data includes personal data like your name and contact details, your date of birth, your previous work experience and education information, skills and related assessments, professional and other work-related licenses, permits and certifications held, information relating to references, details of any secondary employer, any criminal convictions and any other information you elect to provide to us (e.g., employment preferences, willingness to relocate, awards or professional memberships).

We process such data to process your application and for personnel recruitment, management and planning purposes. If you are offered employment, we will process such data as necessary to perform the employment relationship or to take steps prior to entering into an employment relationship.

The legal basis for such processing of your personal data is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR or any national law provisions applicable in your jurisdiction specifying this GDPR provision.

You are not legally obligated to provide us with your above-mentioned personal data. However, without such data, we are not able to process your application or to enter into an employment relationship with you.

  1. Recipients or categories of recipients of personal data

We share your data with service providers/other WW Group companies for the purposes of processing applications.

  1. Data transfer to third countries

We may where necessary transfer your personal data to other countries. Such transfer is based on the following safeguards: We are using the EU Commission's model clause contracts/Privacy Shield to ensure adequate safeguards for your Personal Data when stored in the U.S. For more information regarding these safeguards and if you want to obtain a copy, please contact us under the contact details provided above.

  1. Data retention

We are under a legal obligation to retain certain personal data after your application for a certain period of time and will delete your data automatically after such period. If you are not offered employment, we will delete your personal data in due course after a negative decision has been made on your application.   1. Data subject rights

You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you and the information set out in Art. 15 GDPR.

You have the right to request from us the rectification and/or an update of your inaccurate or incomplete personal data (Art. 16 GDPR).

You also have the right request from us the erasure of your personal data under certain circumstances if one of the grounds mentioned in Art. 17 GDPR applies, for example if the personal data is no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed.

You have the right to request restriction of processing where one of the reasons set out in Art. 18 GDPR applies, for example if you have contested the accuracy of your personal data processed by us.

You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data by us under certain circumstances, e.g. in case we would process your personal data on the legal basis of our legitimate interests, Art. 21 GDPR.

Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement if you consider that our processing of your personal data infringes your rights, Art. 77 GDPR.  

  1. Automated Decision-Making

We don’t use your personal data for automated decision-making, including profiling.
