Role Overview:

The European Information System department running a robust network across our European countries. The role will work closely with the All EU teams and US teams to support and work on projects related to European infrastructure. The individual will require high level knowledge of Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs). This is a hands on roll in order to work on items required to keep the Network secure and deliver projects and CR’s in a timely manner


  • Demonstrable aptitude for analysing network problems
  • Working and triaging tickets as required for issues logged via WW teams
  • Experience in working to strict deadlines, both individually and as part of a team.
  • Work with business and US IT teams to define requirements that meet needs
  • Recommend solutions to identified problems.
  • Provide ongoing support to business units.
  • Ensure delivery of projects on time.
  • In-depth knowledge of all networks
  • Interpersonal skills and experience in presenting
  • Must be willing and able to undertake European and international travel as required.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Maintain and support all key WW infrastructure elements.
  • Using a structured and documented approach provide support for the following
    • VMware
    • VDI
    • Storage – iSCSI, Nimble, Synology
    • Palo Alto, Checkpoint
    • Cisco Switching and routing
    • Cisco and Meraki Wireless
    • Cisco and HP Server HW
    • Windows and Linux Server Admin
    • Azure and AWS Cloud Services
    • ADDS
    • ADFS
    • Veeam and Rubrik Backup
    • Certificate Services


  • Hands on Strong Windows Server skills including Active Directory / Group Policy administration and configuration.
  • Strong skills in background networking technologies both LAN and WAN. Ability to configure DNS, DHCP, Routing, Switches, Firewalls and support of in-place hardware.     
  • Strong experience in configuration and support of Enterprise Solutions and messaging systems.                        
  • Experience of vendor independent knowledge of SAN, NAS, DAS and iSCSI technologies.
  • Excellent knowledge of Virtualisation technologies (VMWare, Windows Virtual Server) with ability to design implement and support these solutions.
  • Ability to work unsupervised whilst recognising the need for excellent communication with colleagues and management both internally and within the business.
  • Ensure to bring new ideas to enhance the WW Network infrastructure and work collaboratively with the US teams.
  • Ensure security is always paramount and WW is never left in a vulnerable position

  • 5 years’ experience of working as a systems engineer in a European arena
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Dynamic, driven individual.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage own time.
  • Productive with limited supervision.

Desirable skills/qualifications


  • Educated to degree level in IT or Business discipline.
